No Car Competition!  

To support our schools with engaging pupil to move actively Newcastle City Council, in collaboration with Living Streets, will be running a No Car Competition amongst Newcastle’s youngest residents.  

Primary Schools across the city will be tracking how each student arrives to school on World Car Free Day. They will also get access to a lesson plan and travel tracker to support pupil engagement with World Car Free Day. 

The school with the greatest proportion of no car travel will win £500 to spend on active travel infrastructure.
