Sandyford Square Transformed

To mark World Car Free Day Newcastle City Council is transforming Sandyford Square from a car park into a public space that showcases sustainable transport, innovation and active travel opportunities available in Newcastle.
Outside the Arches Reception there will also be a number of stalls showcasing sustainable initiatives including the North East Community Forest, Waste and Recycling Engagement and other organisations like Newcastle University, Nexus and NE1. There will also be opportunities to go on a heritage walk or participate in a bike repair workshop!
Come down from 10am till 5pm to explore the stalls and sustainable transport activities!
